Beverly G. Jones has been with our firm since April 2013. She is currently the real estate closing assistant and paralegal to John P. Joiner. Ms. Jones is responsible for scheduling and preparing all real estate closings that are handled by the firm including pre-file set up, ordering title reports, coordinating title documents with lenders, preparation of closing documents, disbursement of funds, issuing title policies, preparing and sending post closing documents, maintaining files and real estate audit preparation. Ms. Jones is experienced with the Landtech closing system and maintains the ALTA Best Practices Manual for the firm. Ms. Jones also assists Mr. Joiner with file set up and preparation of documents pertaining to property transfers, contracts, specific powers of attorney and affidavits.
Ms. Jones graduated from Griffin High School in 1985 and began working at First Federal Savings & Loan Association in the loan department as a loan processor and closing assistant for real estate loans. In 1992 she accepted a position as loan processor for First Metro Mortgage Company in Henry County. In 1998 she accepted a position with Johnson & Voyles as a closing assistant. In 2006 Ms. Jones began working worked with attorney John Joiner in Fayette County as his lead closing assistant. Ms. Jones accepting a position with Johnston, Owen & Bullard in 2013 becoming the closing assistant and paralegal for Edward R.T. Bullard. In 2018 Ms. Jones resumed working with the John Joiner when he joined the firm of Johnsotn & Owen, LLC, in an “of counsel” capacity.
Over the years Ms. Jones and Mr. Joiner have worked together with many clients, lenders, realtors, builders and developers handling real estate closings in Spalding, Pike, Lamar, Fayette, Henry and Coweta County.
